You have access to support with using Library collections and databases, and systematic searching, referencing and plagiarism guidance from your Academic Liaison Librarian (ALL) via one-to-one appointments and workshops

Accessing scholarly articles

LibKey
LibKey Nomad is a great tool provided by London Met which helps you to easily find scholarly journal articles. When you are searching on the web, Nomad lets you know if any of the content is available from our library subscriptions or open access alternatives.

It then gives you a link so in one click you can get to the full text (where available).
LibKey IO
Quickly check article access - Libkey IO is a tool where you can quickly find out if we have access to a given article by entering a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) and get the full text link (including for Open Access articles)
Open Access Articles
Suggested Web Browser Extensions - There are a number of online resources and tools to help you find openly available research. These tools are browser extensions. This means they can be added to your internet browser and provide one-click access to articles. Check out our guide to the main ones.

Where to start with Library Resources
We know it can be confusing when you're not sure where to look for information. In this guide we have listed the best places to look for library information and resources. But remember you can always just ask us too.
Request It!
Request It is a free service for current staff and students and is your one-stop shop for requesting publications we don’t have in our Library collections, be it a journal article, book chapter, or full book.

If you need an article for your own research, first check Library Search to ensure the item is not already available from the library. If it isn't, you can make a request.

We'll do our best to get your requested articles, chapters or books free of charge, but sometimes we can't fulfil requests due to availability, cost or copyright restrictions. When this is the case, we'll let you know of alternative options
