Access to Holloway Road Library

  • Entrance is at street level. A ramp beside Reception gives access to the ground floor.
  • There is lift access to all floors.
  • In the event of lift breakdown, students registered with mobility problems with Disabilities and Dyslexia Service may also use the library staff lift.

Access to Aldgate Library

  • Entrance to the campus is at street level via a ramp on Goulston Street.
  • There is lift access from Goulston Street to the Wash Houses ground floor and then level access to the Wash Houses lift.
  • Entrance to the library is on the second floor of Wash Houses.
  • The library is located solely on the second floor.
  • The library entrance is quite narrow - 90cm wide. Please email library@londonmet.ac.uk if you might need alternative access so we can facilitate this via a fire door.

Access to the Special Collections Reading Room (Holloway Road Library)

  • Entrance is at street level. A ramp beside Reception gives access to the ground floor.
  • There is lift access to all floors.
  • Some of our doors are quite narrow, wheelchair users should liaise with staff members when booking an appointment as we may need to facilitate access via a fire door.
  • In the event of lift breakdown, students registered with mobility problems with Disabilities and Dyslexia Service may also use the library staff lift.
