Create spreadsheets with Excel

At London Met University you have free access to Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets to organise, analyse and present your data in diagrams and charts.

To access: 

  • Go to office.com, sign in with your university email address and password, click the app launcher (9 dots in the top left hand corner) and select Excel.  This will enable you to use Excel online and save your work to your online Microsoft university account (OneDrive).  
  • If you prefer to use the desktop version of Excel, simply click 'Install and more' on the first page of Office.com.  This will enable you to download Excel to your own computer.

Analyse qualitative data with Nvivo

Nvivo is a piece of software that helps you to organize, analyze and visualize qualitative data, for example surveys, interviews and journal articles.  It takes a little time to learn so is only really appropriate for postgraduate and PhD level research.
