After a summer of much moving of books, journals and furniture (and plants!), Aldgate Library is now open in it's new space in the Wash Houses building at Aldgate campus, on the second floor. It may look familiar to some as it was previously the home to Special Collections (which has now moved to Holloway Road campus). The purpose built library space really has the wow factor!

A view through the shelves. The library houses books and print journals for subjects taught at Aldgate campus. Many books and journals related to subjects taught at Holloway Road or the new Shoreditch campus have been moved to Holloway Road Library.

The new library space also houses the Materials & Products Collection a superb assemblage of materials samples including concrete, ceramics, textiles, glass, paper and metals and more to help with your research and studies.

You will also still find displays showcasing items from our collections on relevant subjects, for example we just had a display up about London Textile Month

We hope you can come and visit us in the new space and let us know what you think!
