Library opening hours

Holloway Road and Aldgate libraries 

 

Holloway Library term time opening from Monday 29th September 2025

Monday to Friday 8am to 11.30pm  
Library staff available: 9am to 7pm
Library chat and email support: 10am to 6pm
Saturday and Sunday 11am to 6.30pm  
Library staff available: 12pm to 4pm on Saturdays at Holloway 
Library chat and email support: 12.30pm to 3.30pm on Saturdays 
The first weekend opening is Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th of October 2025
Libraries will be closed the weekend of Saturday 20th and Sun 21st December 2025 for the Winter vacation period and re-open the weekend of 10th and 11th January 2026

Special Collections Opening Hours

Our Reading Room is located on the First Floor (LC1-04) of Holloway Road Learning Centre.

Students and staff are welcome to drop into Special Collections, but are encouraged to email in advance to access rare books and archive material. Selected material is held offsite and will require at least 3 days notice to retrieve.

Admission for external visitors is via email consultation and registration.
