The first digit in each three-digit number represents the main class. For example, 300 represents social sciences. The second digit in each three-digit number indicates the division. For example, 370 is used for general works on education (division of the social sciences), 372 is Primary Education. Numbers after the decimal point indicate subsections/specific topics that the book covers. For example, 372.2 Preschool education.
